Hard to review this place. There were some good points, big serves and a heap of meat, by far mainly meat in the dishes, no skimping on the beef or duck. We had a duck curry and a rainbow beef. Both tasted really, really good, though very spicy. Duck curry though had almost no curry sauce, not at all like you'd expect a curry to be, and a few big chunks of unmixed curry paste through it, pretty awful to come across mid chew. A can of coconut milk and a bit of a mix would make the world of difference to it. The rainbow beef was hardly a rainbow. Only a very small amount of carrot and onion, no other veg. Wouldn't think it's too hard to add a bit of broccoli and capsicum. The curry was the same, small amount of onion and carrot, but did also have a couple of small pineapple pieces. Wouldn't take much to make this place awesome, but not quite there. Unless you're a full carnivore and hate veg, then this is for you.

I had an amazing experience at wokstar restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was also top-notch; the staff was friendly and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back for more and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and excellent service...love it.

We (3 adults) had a delicious meal last night (Sat.19th) The service was great. We were greeted at the door and shown to our to our reserved table. Our entrees were served within 15 mins of ordering. Our mains followed shortly after we had finished entrees. Thank you so much to the staff and cook for a delicious dinner. Myself and two guests from Victoria were very pleased with our meal. Highly recommended

I ordered a (Thai) vegetarian cashew nut stir fry takeaway on a Friday night while on holidays. The restaurant was busy and it took close to an hour. The sauce was really floury (interesting, as I had specified gluten-free) and very oily. The variety of vegetables was limited and they used a lot of onions as a “filler”. I hope you like greasy onions, otherwise, there are plenty of other places with better food here.

Delicious Food, Great Value, Friendly Service WOKSTAR West Ballina serves flavorful dishes with generous portions and warm, attentive service. Highly recommend the fried duck with plum sauce and the mixed seafood laksa. I’ll definitely be returning.
